Oslo Bedroom Mural
I had the unique opportunity to create a mural for the Norwegian designer, Simen , co-creator the clothing line Moods of Norway. (http://www.moodsofnorway.com/#/home)
Simon’s bedroom, designed by the Norwegian group, Hilder and Conrdad (http://www.hildurkonrad.com/) was adorned with soft white materials, and touches of farm animal motifs, which related to his clothing line, which drew from traditional Norwegian country living. The mural wraps three walls of the bedroom, floating in the lower section of the space, like a low-lying cloud, embracing the bed area. The imagery is reminiscent of blowing sheets in the wind, with nordic long haired sheep tucked in this ladscape. It combines the abstract and literal for this modern apartment with a quirky flare.

Hairdressing salon
This mural was painted in Oslo for the Adam and Eve, a hairdressing salon and school. Working in conjunction with the interior design of Hilder and Conrdad (http://www.hildurkonrad.com/), I designed this mural to draw from and the red lighting scheme of the solon while exaggerating and abstracting their form.

Faux-Marble
The interior of this music hall is adorned Pargetted columns on all four sides. The columns are painted with faux-marble, in artist oil. The finish is modeled from the stone, purple Judah. This phase of the project was executed by 8 painters, in a period of 2 months.
As a painter on such a large-scale project, it is critical to be receptive and able to mimic the detailed touch and techniques others artist on the project in order to create cohesive finish.

Burlingame Library Children’s room
This storybook theme room mural was commissioned to celebrate the centennial of the Burlingame Public Library. The mural uses the period architecture of the room as a part of it’s composition, and all the figures are all life-sized. We added images all around the room, so the room becomes a story, its walls the pages of a favorite book. Details like tiny faeries, mice, and California poppies become more noticeable when you get up close.

Broken Gold Leaf Ceiling, Berkeley California, 2008
The gold leafing technique used for this dinning room ceiling creates an organic patterning. Though extremely flat, the subtle organic folds in the gold give the finish the slight effect of texture.
